Huub Ragas
Dutch painter
Dutch painter
Huub Ragas was born in 1961 and lives in the Netherlands. He was educated at the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming in Tilburg during the period 1987-1992. He is a painter who likes to draw.
His works often show small houses or scenes of cities. Non existing and fictionall. In his art he often examines structure, rythm and colours of the urban environment. But often elements of nature, like fishes, birds or other animals are shown.
His style can differ from realistic, to surrealistic or poetic. Some of his works resemble Hundertwasser or Escher.

Since 2007 I have been at all kinds of exhibitions all over the world. My work are now exhibited at the gallery of Carré d’artistes.
Carré d’artistes has galleries in many citys in France and also one in Barcelona, in Londen, Germany, Holland and recently also New York and Brasil.
Huub and I know each other since we were both studying at the Academie voor beeldende vorming (school of art) and later in life we remained friends. Huub is especially good at drawing and he has an amazing sense of color. Buddhism and love of nature have shaped his artistic world which resulted in his series of works on paper of organic shaped buildings and flowers among others. He is an excellent artist but also very underrated so his artistic work doesn’t always get the credit it deserves and, in my opinion, Huub Ragas should have a professional gallery to represent his work. My wife and I are very happy with the paintings made by Huub that adorn our living room and I would recommend his work very much to everyone who wants to buy a nice piece of art.
I believe that the most effective inspiration in everyday life is to welcome artworks into the house. In that sense, Huub Ragas’s work is very interesting. Because when his work is in space, the place gives a very poetic and rich emotional expression. It also depends on the situation of the person who sees his work, whether it’s a time of family gathering, a time of slow thoughtfulness alone, or time-sharing with your loved ones, his work gently snuggles up and gives new inspiration. Huub Ragas has a great personality. His “Ichinen (Unwavering deep determination)” is a source of the pursuit of what the happiness of life is and always a calm sense of security to those around him. Also, those who see his work also give a comfortable calm at the same time His work will be his own and will become an important one that will stay with us for a long time and support us every day.
